Supplier agreement

What SearchMyGuide asks of the suppliers who list on it, and what they can expect in return.

Last updated October 15, 2026

Draft. The highlighted terms are waiting on a business decision, and this page stays out of search engines until every one of them is set. It is not a published policy yet.

1.Who can list

Before your first listing goes live, we verify you: we check your identity and the business details you give us, and a member of our team reviews your application. Where guiding is licensed, we check the licence. We can decline an application, or remove a supplier, where we are not satisfied — and we tell you why.

2.Your listings

You write them, you price them, and you own them. They must be accurate, use photographs you have the right to use, and describe what a traveller will actually get. A listing is reviewed by an editor before it is published; we may tidy the copy for clarity, never the substance.

3.Fees and payouts

For every booking, SearchMyGuide keeps a commission of 25% of the price; the rest is yours. If you choose twice-monthly payouts, the rate shown on your payouts page applies instead. A booking keeps the rate in force when it was made: we tell you at least 30 days before the rate changes, and a change never applies to bookings already made. Payouts go to your Stripe account or your PayPal address, whichever you choose on your payouts page, after the experience has taken place, in the payout run on your chosen schedule — monthly unless you choose otherwise. You are responsible for your own taxes and for any registration your local law requires.

4.Running the experience

Deliver what the listing says, safely, with the insurance the activity needs. If you have to cancel, the traveller is refunded in full and repeated cancellations affect where you appear on the site.

5.Your content

You keep the rights to the text and photographs you upload, and you give us a licence to show them on SearchMyGuide and in its marketing for as long as you list with us.

Every photograph you upload must be your own or used with the photographer's written permission, with a signed release from anyone recognisable in it, and free of trademarks or other people's work you are not authorised to use. You confirm this each time you add photographs, and we keep a record of each confirmation. You are responsible for, and will cover us against, any claim that a photograph you supplied infringes someone's rights, and we may take down a photograph that is the subject of such a claim.

6.Bookings stay on SearchMyGuide

A traveller who finds you through SearchMyGuide books and pays through SearchMyGuide. You do not invite them to book with you directly or on another site, and you do not put a phone number, an email address, a website or a social handle in your listings, your profile, your replies to reviews or your messages before a booking. Until they book, travellers see a public name rather than your trading name; they get your name, and the details they need for the day, once the booking is confirmed. If you take travellers off the platform we may remove your listings or close your account.

7.Independence

You are an independent supplier, not our employee or agent. Nothing here creates a partnership or an employment relationship.

8.Ending the agreement

Either of us can end it with notice. Bookings already taken are honoured, or refunded in full to the traveller, before the account closes.

9.Governing law

This agreement is governed by the law of [country of incorporation]. Questions go to privacy@searchmyguide.com.
