Terms of service

SearchMyGuide, run by [company legal name], is a marketplace. The guides on it are independent — they run the experiences, set their prices and are responsible for delivering what they list. We take the booking, hold the payment, and stand behind the process; we are not a party to the experience itself.

You must be at least eighteen to hold an account. One account per person; keep your password to yourself; tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.

The price you see is the price you pay, in USD, and it already includes our fee — the platform's commission of 25% is taken from the guide's side, not added to yours. Your booking is confirmed when payment succeeds, and the confirmation email is your ticket.

Unless the listing says otherwise, you can cancel for a full refund up to 24 hours before the start. After that, the booking is not refundable. If the guide cancels, or the experience does not run, you are refunded in full.

You can review an experience only after it has taken place, and only honestly. Reviews are moderated before they appear. Abuse of guides, other travellers or our team, on or off the site, ends your account.

To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you paid for the booking in question. Guides carry their own insurance for the experiences they run. Nothing here limits liability the law does not let us limit.

These terms are governed by the law of [country of incorporation], and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute — without affecting protections your own country's consumer law gives you.

We may change these terms; the date at the top says when. Bookings already made stay on the terms they were made under. Questions go to privacy@searchmyguide.com.
